Richard and Sarah Ang have three grown up children who are based in the US, Europe and Toronto. Richard was born and raised in Singapore where he practiced law for several years before coming to Canada. He also holds masters’ degrees in Theology and Christian Studies from Regent College and the Canadian Baptist Seminary/Trinity Western University. He serves part time as President of the Canadian Baptist Seminary, which is part of the ACTS Consortium at TWU.
His passion is discipleship through habitual study and service. Only with a worldview that allows challenge and reformation through a vigorous integration of the Scriptures, an appreciation of culture and context, and a heart of compassion for the weak and disadvantaged, can today’s church make a difference to the world we live in. Apart from hikes and walks, he works out in the local fitness world. Both he, Sarah and some friends, have in the past several years started a work in India that includes, an orphanage, bore wells for potable water and a sewing school.
